2) Insight: Becoming a professional in Bolted Joints (Nuts and Bolts)

The management philosophy of the company that created the world's strongest nut that never loosens.
In this column, let's change the topic and talk about the importance of companies having a solid management philosophy. The founder of the company that created the HARDLOCK Nut (HLN), which we have discussed many times in previous columns, upholds the basic principle of "spirit of altruism." Altruism is the opposite of selfishness, the belief that by working for the sake of people in society and creating good products that make customers happy, profits will inevitably follow.
In industries such as railways, loose nuts and bolts can be a major factor leading to critical failure and horrific accidents. In order to ensure the safety and security of society and continue to develop uncompromising products for solving customer problems, HARDLOCK Industry, through the spirit of altruism, invented special threaded fasteners "nut" that mitigates bolt loosening problems. The company's management philosophy which revolves around Spirit of Altruism is taught and instilled in their employees daily.
As a result, HARDLOCK Industry has succeeded in expanding product adoption in various industries, such as high-speed rail in Japan, China and Taiwan as well as bridges, towers, and various other structures. They aim to further promote product adoption in many more countries.
Recently, HARDLOCK Industry has been attracting a lot of attention as a destination for visits and tours during the Japan Tour Training organized by AOTS, where many various companies from across the world come to visit Japan. In May, there were successive visits from groups in Central and South America, and some participants were impressed by HARDLOCK Industry's management philosophy, expressing comments such as "We would like to express our gratitude for the efforts they are making for the safety of the world."
In the next AOTS E-Newsletter, we will talk about the management philosophies of other leading companies in Japan.
